Getting There
By Car
The house is set back a little from the road. Feel free to park along Schloßstrasse and walk the last bit through — you'll spot us quickly!
By Train / Public Transport
The best option is to book a ticket to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof via NS International or Deutsche Bahn.
Option A: S-Bahn via Schorndorf
Take the S-Bahn S2 to Schorndorf. The journey takes about 35 minutes. From there, you can take bus 249: it runs once per hour, the ride takes 10-15 minutes and the bus stops almost directly at the door. Alternatively, you can take bus 243 to Urbach Feuerwehr, which also runs once per hour and takes 10-15 minutes. The walk to the venue from this stop is a bit longer, so keep that in mind.
Option B: Regional train via Urbach
From Stuttgart Hbf, take the Regionalbahn Mex13 towards Aalen and get off at Urbach Bahnhof. The journey takes about 30 minutes and the train runs twice per hour. From there, you can take bus 249 (direction Schorndorf) and you'll be at our doorstep within 10 minutes. Since the bus only runs once per hour, you can alternatively walk. This takes about 20-25 minutes.
Useful tips for traveling by public transport
By Plane
The nearest airport is Flughafen Stuttgart. We recommend renting a car here, as the roads in the region are much better than the public transport connections. If you prefer public transport, you can take the S-Bahn S2 from the airport to Schorndorf. The ride takes about 1 hour and from there you can take the bus, as described above. There are also taxis at Schorndorf station; a ride to the venue will cost between €15 and €20.

Getting There
Shuttle bus
A shuttle bus runs especially for wedding guests between the car park and the castle. No need to walk! But if you'd like to — it's about 15 minutes through the forest uphill.
By Train / Public Transport
The castle is a little off the beaten path. You can get close by public transport, then take a taxi or hire a bike for the last stretch (bikes are welcome on board!).

Taxis are allowed to drive all the way up to the castle — there is a small car park at the top. For the return journey, taxis will also pick up guests from the castle.
If you're travelling by public transport, you can also take a taxi from almost any train station.
By Bike
For the adventurous ones: you can hire a bike in the region! We recommend an e-bike — the castle sits at the top of a hill with 300–400 metres of elevation. Options are limited, so book ahead.
By Plane
Flying into Stuttgart? Flughafen Stuttgart is the nearest airport. From there you can hire a car or continue by public transport.

Coming by car? You can park very close to the castle at the Wanderparkplatz. From there it's 700m uphill to the castle — partly steep, but with beautiful views along the way! If you fancy a little warm-up before the ceremony, this is your moment.

Travelling by campervan? Lucky you — you can stay right at the Wanderparkplatz at the foot of the castle. Just note there's no electricity or water there. If you need those, there are two camper spots further down the hill. Bringing a tent? Camping Pfählhof near Bad Urach is a lovely choice!
